The Oxford Drive-In Theatre is open again and the new owners have done a fantastic job!
The field itself is very well-kept and easy to find a good spot along the marked rows (cars, suv's, trucks - front, middle, back), which other drive in's I've been to haven't done...and yet it makes the most sense to have!
The board is large and clean, and the projector is nice and bright. The radio is easy to tune in to, and is also nice and clear, AND supports stereo audio, which is great for immersion. It was also nice to see other moviegoers switching off their lights quite promptly when the movie began.
The site features a food wagon with burgers, hotdogs, poutine, pop and other snacks, and a newly renovated set of men and woman's washrooms.
It was nice to see adverts for local businesses before the movie, which lasted only a few minutes, and then the movie (Indiana Jones 5) began! No waiting around here; nice!
It was Canada Day when we went, and the owners had kindly set up and put on a mini fireworks display. We really did appreciate one of the owners coming by to chat and warning us beforehand, as we had our young dog with us. FYI, very dog friendly space and people!
Overall, loved coming here and will be back again soon! 💯
Support local businesses! It’s so nice to be able to go to a drive-in movie again. It’s definitely the best way to go see a movie when you have young children. Regarding the drive-in theatre: The projection system is great, the screen is very clear and bright. The sound was perfect too. It’s a really good location; not too far from town. The popcorn was fresh, the nachos were good too. The staff are really friendly and they have done a great job on the renovations. The washrooms are all updated and very clean. We got to see two current movies for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be going back again. Let’s support our local businesses - these are our neighbours. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!
Awesome experience. This was our first time here, and we will definitely be back. Fair prices all around admission and concession stand. Tons of space. Friendly staff.
So glad this place has an owner who not only has been here since they were a child. But truly wants to make everyone's movie experience a success. I'm going to have many amazing memories of this place. Thank you Katherine and Bob for buying it and re-opening it up.
Love this place glad to see someone wanting to bring the old style drive ins back to life I would much rather go here then anywhere else I've been coming to this drive in since I was a child
Great staff, good audio and screen was clear and bright! Affordable fun for the whole family and we even enjoyed the flying acrobats from across the road!!

Awesome to see the Oxford Drive-In back open once again! I was invited to a pre-opening screening of E.T. and was very impressed with the new projector, sound quality and the screen being re-painted. Hope the momentum keeps going with lots of awesome film choices this summer!

nice spacing of spots, ordering from the snack bar is great, they'll deliver to your car, and all the staff were friendly. 10/10
Great deal, especially on Tuesdays, compared to other Drive-Ins in the surrounding areas. Glad to see it back up and running, after all these years, many happy memories from my youth there. Quality of the movie projection/screen is great. Wish people would figure out how to turn off their running lights though, have had issues with light on cars behind us multiple times that we've been there.
