Excellent ambience and great service. The exterior is beautifully landscaped and the place transports you to a quiet getaway. The service was great and prompt. The service staff was attentive throughout. Food was a bit of a let down though. The pork ribs hardly had any meat on them and were more like nibbles. The cumin Lamb though excellently cooked had extra salt. The dessert was the saving grace.

Outstanding! Not only is Olinda Tea House nestled in beautiful, lush gardens, the service and the food is amazing! Mr Hoover, our waiter, was a delightfully funny and a customer focused server! We were thrilled with his service and the light humour, with his joking around! We thoroughly enjoyed the fusion high tea experience……beautifully presented and scrumptious! A nice balance of savoury and sweet. They allowed us to take home what we couldn’t consume. Highly recommend coming to Olinda Tea House and we will come again for dinner!

Located atop the scenic Mt Dandenong, this well-known Chinese restaurant is a great dining option for Chinese families. The menu features a range of traditional Chinese dishes that are not only delicious but also cater to Western tastes, leaning towards the sweeter side. However, there are some areas for improvement. Portions for certain dishes like Spicy Chicken are on the smaller side. Additionally, the speed and sequencing of dishes being served could be enhanced. Overall, it offers a good dining experience with room for improvement.

Celebrated my sister’s birthday here last Saturday, our first time to dine here and so glad we chose the right place. Foods were so delicious and beautifully presented. Service was excellent and staff were helpful, especially that girl named ‘Lily’ who helped us chose which food is the best. This restaurant also has a beautiful park, entertained by Alpacas and a Pony. We will surely come back here.

Food was descent and service was nice, place is really nice and has a cosy feel to it. Had lunch there and tried a few different options. Their signature dishes were really good. We had a family member with certain dietary requirements and the staff offered options that suits their needs. We were really happy with the food.

Really nice place for a wedding. As a celebrant I frequent a large number of venues, this is one of the nicest. Looking forward to returning for another wedding in a few weeks time.

Great high tea experience at Olinda. They offer private rooms dining and high tea for children too. Highly recommend it if you’re up for a bit of drive in the woods and enjoy connecting to nature. Would have been a better if the weather was less gloomy as we couldn’t really enjoy their beautiful gardens and alpaca feeding!! The food was sensational, loved their savouries and scones were not dry. Service is good, wait staff are courteous and polite. If go visit again, I’ll probably opt in for the garden gazebo high tea package.

Ivy was very nice and welcoming. Food was good and coffee was perfect temperature. There are few bergula (shaded places) out of the restaurant to sit in, it’s roundly (see images)

It was a very enjoyable and pleasant dining experience. We arrived at 5.30pm and were quickly shown to our table. We had booked a 5 dish banquet (cost $99), which consists of Szechuan chicken, a double boiled soup, stewed pork leg with peanuts, stir fry veggie, mapo tofu and capsicum with potato dish (di xan xia). The meal with a bucket of white rice. All dishes were tasty and generous. Service was impeccable. Nice surroundings and well decorated. Great job!!

Generous big serving with the standard high tea set menu. The cakes were delicious, but I wish there were a few more interesting savory dishes. The fried prawn ball was awesome but other ones we had egg sandwich, mushroom pastry, a pork bun which mostly were just okay.

We really enjoyed coming here, the whole place had a relaxing feel, and there was beautiful scenery outside the restaurant. Pretty autumn leaves! Lots of space to walk around after your meal. There is also two alpacas and a pony at the back. They are very friendly, fluffy and cute. Make sure you visit them. The high tea experience was wonderful, full of tasty treats! Plenty of food so you will be satisfied. Free flowing scones with home made raspberry jam. We were so full we didn’t have to order more scones. The savoury highlights were: Truffle mushroom bouchées (yum! Great mushroom flavour went well with the pastry), cheesy prawn ball (crunchy on the outside and delicious prawn in the centre), the BBQ pork bun was fluffy and yummy. The dessert highlights were: caramel almond choux (this was my favourite, just a perfect choux), macaron, peach oolong trifle (nice combination of peach with cubes of oolong jelly), the citrus mandarin chocolate mousse was amazing, great citrus flavour and not too sweet. You can choose two hot drinks per person. I really enjoyed the honey pomelo fruit tea, perfect to finish off the meal. Also tried the Matcha latte which was nice. The most epic thing of the day was the sliding/swinging couches. There is one located inside and others outside the entrance. Make sure to come early to reserve the spot! The egg sandwich was a bit bland, may need to spice it up next time, and there were a lot of cream throughout most of the desserts which makes you full! Overall it was a lovely high tea experience and I highly recommend trying it out. The staff were lovely.

The surrounding is fabulous. The decorations are beautiful. You cannot believe there is so good restaurant on the top of mountain. The food is delicious. The only thing is, it might take longer time waiting for the food😹

Everyone MUST go here for such a lovely experience. I was with a friend and we wanted some nice scones, we certainly got this and drooled watching the high tea walking past us as well as other dishes. We are already planning our return but with a group of us as we feel everyone needs to experience this!! Food and staff so lovely and pay a visit to the alpacas with miniature pony!!!

Very nice place with delicious traditional Chinese cuisine. An excellent combination between Chinese signatures and western cake shop. Definitely worth to return and share with friends. Full stars service.

An elegant tea house with delicious Asian cuisine, they also have a fusion high tea set with a mixture of Chinese & Western desserts. We didn’t order the high tea set as we ordered too many other yummy main dishes such as the signature fried rice, the Chilly chicken, Beef with Bitter melon and the potato & egg plant. And then we ordered 3 cakes - piggy mousse, the sheep mousse and the tiger cake. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I had a few pieces of the chilly chicken and I started coughing from the spiciness, the waitress brought over a small glass of milk for me which soothed the spiciness in my throat. If we ever go back to Melbourne we will definitely go back and try the high tea set!
