Comida bahiana deliciosa, gente muito simpática, ambiente local muito interessante. Paz e tranquilidade mesmo ao lado de uma avenida muito movimentada. Adorei! PS: Carne do sol deliciosa! Foi a melhor que comi em Salvador :)

Great place, just off the main road. Authentic, seriously friendly in a small back street that looks more dodgy than it is and feels (and is) very safe and relaxed. Food was excellent, thier sun dried beef the best I'd tasted. Food is home cooking Salvador style, fresh, filling and served with a smile. Worth combining with a trip to the zoo, plenty of buses pass by from the main tourist beaches. Very friendly staff who kept a friendly eye on us and were very welcoming indeed. Perfect stop off for lunch before the rather interesting + free to enter zoo just down the road. Great for a lazy few beers and ice cream and watch everyday colourful life passing by. Street maps photo shows the place being built, it's finished now, it's got seating in the steet with shade and inside too.
