Very nice dining experience and great service. Was with a small group and we ordered the chef's tasting menu, a Japanese-Perunian fusion mix. Started out with fresh uni delivered just that morning. The highlight of the meal for me. I would definitely return.
A look back at one of the restaurants that captivated my palate - Osaka!
I remember going there early because I did not have reservation. It was a good move since the place easily got packed later that night. The place had a cozy, warm vibe. It was dimly lit with candles set on the table, adding a flare of drama to the atmosphere.
The staffs were welcoming and very helpful, though none of them speak English. There is also no menu in English so ordering can be a bit of challenge if you do not speak the language.
I started off with salmon sashimi as I normally do in Japanese restos. It was fresh and had that milky/buttery taste. I then ordered for one of the fushion dishes, the misso truffle beef. The menu said it was Kobe beef but I had no way to validated. It tasted close enough to the ones I had in Japan - it was tender, moist and tasty. Perhaps a technique in the cooking and marinate helped. For Kobe beef, I thought it was a steal for the price that I paid. The side dish was equally good and had that distinct truffle flavour that I love. The dish was so tasty that I thought it will be good to pair with rice. I ordered one of the fried rice from the accompaniments. Again, a good decision for that in itself was fantastic.
Osaka is a little pricey but you get value from what you pay for. I know I definitely got mine.
Excelente opção para rodizio japones, entradas muito saborosas, deixa a desejar no atendimento algumas vezes pela morosidade dos garçons, mas no geral é muito bom. Custo médio de R$ 70,00 por pessoa.
